Terms and conditions

The provider is [PLACEHOLDER: FIRST LAST NAME or company], [PLACEHOLDER: ADDRESS], Switzerland, email [PLACEHOLDER: EMAIL] (“we”). These terms apply to all use of the website dossierfix.ch and all purchases made through it. Deviating terms only apply if we agree to them in writing.

The service is intended for people applying for a rental flat in Switzerland and for adults (18 and over). Minors may only use and buy DossierFix with the consent of their legal representative.

DossierFix is an online layout and formatting tool: in your browser you turn your own details and documents into a rental application dossier as a PDF. Entering your details and the watermarked preview are free. Only unlocking the download without a watermark is paid.

DossierFix does not provide legal, tenancy or financial advice. Information on the website and templates (e.g. for the motivation letter) are general aids. We do not check the content of your dossier and do not owe the success of your application; whether you get a flat is decided by the landlord alone.

Before buying, you can review your entire dossier in the free preview and correct all entries. Clicking the payment button takes you to Stripe’s payment page, which shows the price and payment method again.

The contract is concluded as soon as you have successfully completed payment on Stripe’s payment page. Stripe sends a payment confirmation to the email address you enter there.

The price is a one-time CHF 19.– [PLACEHOLDER: “incl. VAT” or “We are not registered for VAT”]. This is not a subscription: there is no automatic renewal, no further cost and no automatically added extras. If we offer optional extras in the future, they will never be pre-selected.

Payment is made by credit card, debit card or TWINT via the payment service provider Stripe, whose terms apply in addition.

The download without watermark is unlocked immediately after successful payment in the browser you paid with. The unlock is valid for 7 days from payment; during that time you can edit and download your dossier as often as you like.

Your data is stored exclusively in your browser. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, the dossier and the unlock are lost; we cannot restore them. Please keep the downloaded PDF.

You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and lawfulness of your details and of the documents you upload. You only upload your own documents or documents you are entitled to share (e.g. with the consent of co-applicants in the same household).

Falsifying documents, giving false information to landlords and creating misleading dossiers are prohibited. Check the finished PDF before sending it.

The AI assistant is an optional, free additional feature that only becomes active after your consent (see privacy policy, section 7). AI answers and text suggestions can be incomplete or wrong and are not legal advice. Suggestions are never applied automatically; you are responsible for checking them before use.

We may restrict or switch off the AI assistant at any time (e.g. in case of abuse or high cost). There is no entitlement to its availability; the purchase price only covers the download without a watermark.

Swiss law does not provide a statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. As you can review the result in the free preview before buying, we do not offer a general right of return.

If the PDF cannot be created or downloaded for reasons we are responsible for (e.g. a technical error in DossierFix) and we cannot fix the error within a reasonable time, we will refund the full purchase price on request, provided we receive the request within [PLACEHOLDER: 14] days of purchase. In other cases we may refund as a gesture of goodwill. Please send requests to [PLACEHOLDER: EMAIL].

We aim for high availability of the website but cannot guarantee it at all times. Current versions of common browsers are supported. Warranty is excluded to the extent permitted by law; section 8 and mandatory statutory claims remain reserved.

We are liable without limitation for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and under mandatory statutory provisions (Art. 100 Swiss Code of Obligations). For damage caused by slight negligence, our liability is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the purchase price paid; in that case we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage.

Your dossier data is stored only on your device. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for its loss (e.g. by clearing browser data); please save the downloaded PDF. In particular, we are not liable for the success of an application.

Our privacy policy applies.

We may amend these terms. A purchase is governed by the version published at the time of purchase.

Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where consumers have their habitual residence remain reserved.

The place of jurisdiction is [PLACEHOLDER: PLACE]. Mandatory places of jurisdiction for consumers (Art. 32 Swiss Civil Procedure Code) remain reserved.
